Hello everyone from Tanzania! Today, our Mamba group climbed the highest mountain in Africa - Kilimanjaro. We started climbing at 11 p.m. It's still 2023.
But at exactly midnight, the entire slope along which the ascent to the volcano passes, densely dotted with chains of lanterns, resounded with joyful shouts and songs.
Few people manage to celebrate the New Year in such an unusual environment. We were walking pretty fast, so we went out to Stella Point in the dark.
There was another surprise waiting for us. One of our guides wore a Santa Claus costume. That's how we walked to the top of the crater - with Santa. To the delight of us, to the envy of all, watching the picturesque sunrise on the way.

Hello everyone from Punta Arenas Airport! Happy New Year to everyone! Yesterday, for us, the intrigue lasted until the last moment. In the morning we lived in a waiting mode for departure to Antarctica. At 6 p.m. Chile time (it's midnight in Moscow), we decided to relax a little and celebrate the New Year ... and then the flight was announced. More precisely, we were informed of the departure time - earlier on the morning of January 1. So we didn't celebrate for long - we had to prepare for departure. But according to the Chilean tradition, we put on yellow underpants for the New Year. And everything worked out.
We are already at the airport, preparing for departure. We hope to send you greetings from Antarctica from Union in 5-6 hours.

Buenos dias from the Sandia alegre band! We reached the Plaza de Mulas today. A good place to celebrate the New Year. In 8 hours we came here and celebrated the New Year in Moscow. We are working further. The guides are Dmitry Semenov and Alexander Dorojukov.

We moved to Machu Picchu, spent the night and started early in the morning to places still unexplored by people. I recommend definitely visiting them!
